The solution of laptop battery charging
Some laptops will have a 'Battery Calibration' application. If you did a clean install, you'll have to go to the manufacturer's website to see if they have one you can download/install for your model. If so, it will require you to run this application occasionally to make sure the battery continues to operate(charge) properly.
The alternative you could try is this:
With the battery and AC adapter plugged in, turn off the laptop.
Disconnect the AC adapter and remove the battery.
Plug the AC adapter back in(not the battery) and boot up to Windows
In Device Manager, uninstall "Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery" & turn off the laptop + disconnect AC
Now, re-connect both the AC and the battery & turn it on.
If that still did not work, your AC adapter could be malfunctioning & recommend testing with another one. Worst case scenario, it could be a problem with the internal jack
Should I Leave My Laptop Plugged in All the Time?
This is a question that comes up a lot with laptop owners. And the answer is a quite simple “No.” For optimum battery use, and to get the most life out of your laptop battery, keeping it charged between 40% and 80% has been seen as optimum. However, the newer-generation lithium batteries do better in full charge cycles, so not letting it get below 40% is a good rule of thumb there. And, you don’t want to leave it charging all the time for another main reason – doing so can overheat the battery in some models, which is the number one thing you want to avoid. That said, in many laptop models, once the battery is 100% charged, it will cut off the power supply to the battery, so keeping it charging is redundant after that point, and won’t harm the battery in most cases.
Information security in the era of big data
As we all know, cloud computing, big data, social commerce, and mobile are important development trends in the future. More and more enterprise users and service providers have begun to enter these fields to win a place in the market. Affected by the overall slowdown in the overall economy, the overall growth rate of the IT industry slowed down last year, but the IT security market showed a rapid growth trend.
Cloud computing, big data, mobile, and social networks continue to drive growth in the future security market for the following reasons:
First, due to the maturity of cloud computing, traditional physical security boundary-based protection mechanisms are difficult to effectively protect user applications and information security based on shared environments. Unauthorized access to information becomes an important security issue for cloud computing systems.
Second, formally step into the era of big data. This trend will have an impact on China's information security technology and product development, network security defense system.
Third, with the increasing diversification of online fraud methods, the popularity of social networks allows criminals to deceive users' friends, colleagues and family members by impersonation. This brings great security protection pressure to the product.
Fourth, the data shows that more and more people are using tablets and smartphones to access data and applications stored in the cloud. The vulnerability of these system vulnerabilities is becoming more and more serious.
Victor Peng, President and CEO of Xilinx, won the ASPENCORE Global Electronic Achievement Award for the Year of Innovation
November 9, 2018, Shenzhen, China – Xilinx, Inc. (NASDAQ: XLNX), a global leader in adaptive and intelligent computing, today announced that Victor Peng, President and CEO of Xilinx, was awarded 2018 The annual Innovation Award for the ASPENCORE Global Electronic Achievement Award (WEAA). In addition, the Xilinx Zynq UltraScale+ RFSoC has also won the Processor/DSP/FPGA Class of the Year Award for Product Excellence. The Zynq UltraScale+ RFSoC family integrates the critical subsystems and wired infrastructure required for multi-band, multi-mode cellular radios into the SoC platform. The SoC platform includes a feature-rich 64-bit quad-core Arm® CortexTM-A53 and dual-core Arm Cortex-R5 processing system.
Peng said: "I am honored to be selected by the WEAA jury as an innovative person of the year and with everyone's RFSoC solution. In today's era of flexible computing, I am committed to continuing to promote Xilin. The transformation and evolution of thinking. For Xilinx, this is an exciting time, I am looking forward to leading Xilinx into a new stage of innovation.
Since being appointed CEO of Xilinx in January this year, Peng has launched a series of corporate transformation plans to open up new markets through new technologies, including major advances such as the launch of ACAP (Adaptive Computing Acceleration Platform). The industry's first ACAP platform, VersalTM, was launched at the Xilinx Developer Conference (XDF) in Beijing in October, along with Xilinx's new powerful data center accelerator card product line, AlveoTM.
Traders Electronics teamed up with Grant Imahara to introduce artificial intelligence robots into the human family in the latest short film of Generation Robot
November 9, 018 – Mouser Electronics, a global distributor of electronic components that is focused on introducing new products, today teamed up with star engineer Grant Imahara to release the final episode of the Generation Robot series. It is the latest event of the company's award-winning Empowering Innovation TogetherTM program.
In this short film, Grant went to San Francisco to visit Dr. Mark Palatucci, co-founder of Anki and the inventor of the disruptive home robot Vector. Unlike voice-controlled static assistants, Vector is fully automated, connected to the cloud, and ready to go. With the latest face recognition software and artificial intelligence (AI) technology, Vector can learn user habits and behaviors and act as companion robots. . The Generation Robot series is supported by the leading supplier partners of Traders, Analog Devices, Intel®, Microchip Technology and Molex.
The Generation Robot series explores how robots can make a difference in manufacturing applications, service industries, and where humans are too far away from danger or remoteness to understand how robots serve humans. In this new video, Grant and Palatucci discuss how robots like Vector interact with humans, and how to empower consumer robots by integrating IQ and emotional intelligence.
Glenn Smith, president and CEO of Moser Electronics, said: "The highest state of robot innovation is to achieve true artificial intelligence, allowing robots to think independently. We have witnessed that this technology is going from the laboratory. Enter our lives."
Grant added: "In this series of exciting short films, we have seen the real 'new age robots' and saw how they work and live with humans every day. But the more important issue is that as robots become more and more Smart, and able to think independently, what the future will look like - we can only wait and see."
